Edward Fullerton Weekes and Family

The grave site of Edward Fullerton Weekes is in Union Cemetery in Lombardy Ontario, near the north west corner. The stone and grave site are just out of site from the gate, and are only visible when you go over the crest of the hill. The single stone is a cross-vaulted marble obelisk, with crossing capital peaks. It has four engraved faces, one each for Edward, Mary Jane (McCauley), and their children Minnie and William H. Weekes. The earliest inscription is Edward's, dated 1881, and the newest is William's, dated 1910.

This page shows the original stone. A preservation project was undertaken during the winter of 2006 to ensure that the stone would be legible for future generations.
