Peacefully, with her family by her side on Monday, December 1, 2014. Beloved wife of the late John Alfred (Alfie). Loving mother of John, of Chilliwack, BC and Tom (Elizabeth) of Almonte. Cherished grandmother, of Carl, Alyssa Toshack (Calvin), Krysty-Ann MacPherson and Chelsea Dowdall (Brad) and great-grandmother of Sheyanne, Emily and Alexander. (Pre-deceased by her sister Muriel) Survived by her brother Ross Tuck and his wife Mary of Chesterville. She will also be lovingly remembered by Jennifer and Dustin; and several nieces and nephews. Her affiliations were Past Vice Grand at the Well Rebekah Lodge 29, Life Member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 240 and a Life Member of the Women's Institute.

MACPHERSON, John Alfred (Alfie) Gunner, WWII Veteran 1942- 1945 A D-Day Dodger Past President, Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 240 Past Zone Commander G6 Suddenly at Almonte General Hospital on Wednesday, December 12, 2007, we lost our Alfie, age 84 years. Beloved husband of Phyllis (Tuck). Loving father of John of Chilliwack, BC and Tom (Elizabeth) of Almonte. Cherished grandfather of Carl, Alyssa Toshack (Calvin), Kristy-Ann and Chelsea MacPherson and great-grandfather of Sheyanne and Emily. He will also be lovingly remembered by Jennifer and Dustin Thompson. Friends may call at the Almonte Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 154 Elgin St., Almonte on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday at 11 a.m. Interment Auld Kirk Cemetery in the spring. A Legion service will be held on Friday at 6:30 p.m. Those wishing may make memorial donations to Fairview Manor Foundation or the Legion Poppy Fund.
