Sadie's husband, John Henry Stowell, according to a copy of a baptismal certificate, was born January 9, 1881, in Rensselaer Falls, New York.  He and Sadie married 26 June 1901, Ogdensburg, NY, per Rose Gerber's notes.  John died in Nov 1958 in Seattle.  His obituary says he's buried at Washelli Cemetery, but the cemetery said they had no record of him.

A "List or Manifest of Alien Passengers Applying for Admission" in the year 1916 at the Port of Blaine, WA, USA, includes:

Moose Jaw, Sask., Canada, is given as last permanent residence and destination as Seattle, WA, USA. For unknown reason, Durward's name doesn't appear. A 1920 US Census of Seattle shows John and Sarah Stowell, the 6 children, gender, age, race or people (given as Irish), country of birth, language spoken and occupation.  The children's recorded birth country is Canada, but written above each is "Amer. Cit.," John's place of birth USA, and Sarah's Canada.

This is what we know so far of Sarah and John's children:

Tuesday, January 22, 2013, Mary Elizabeth Ida Stutzke (Johnston), born March 10, 1932, passed away at age 80 due to heart failure after losing her vibrant health. She loved living on the waterfront in Hansville, WA, following her retirement as a supervisor at Boeing Aircraft Co., October 1987. She realized one of her childhood desires, and being a gifted artist, produced many water color paintings. A number of these were juried pieces winning recognition. Her family cherishes those they hold that she did on commission or her own inspiration.
Mary's husband, soul mate, and the love of her life, Harry Stutzke, preceded her in death December 30, 2005. She will be interned at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent in the same plot where Harry (formerly a US Navy officer) is located. It was her overriding heartfelt desire to be with Harry again, and we all rest easy knowing that she now is. ...
