The bride was gowned in a two-piece ensemble of Iceland blue wool suit fashioned with a fitted jacket, which had a flared peplum and a round neckline, and ...skirt. Her sailor model hat with accents of navy blue had a shoulder length veil. A pearl necklace, a gift of the groom, and a shoulder knot of American Beauty roses, completed her costume. She carried a white prayer book, the gift of her mother.
Following the reception, which was held at the Rideau Hotel in Smiths Falls, Mr and Mrs. Learmonth left on their wedding trip for Toronto and Niagara Falls. For travelling the bride chose a beige wool crepe frock with tweed top coat and brown accessories.
